System Administrator |
| Definition |
Responsible for the operation and administration of the organization networks, servers, email and network security systems. Should have experience in designing, implementing, installing, troubleshooting, maintaining and modifying IT infrastructure. |
| Key responsibilities |
- Administration and maintenance of company's production servers and internal systems and WAN devices
- Configuring, Maintaining and Administration of Failover Setups in Linux Platform
- Configuring ,Maintaining Virtualization Setups such as vmware and Xen
- Troubleshooting leased line latency and reliability issues and Bandwidth management.
- Configuration and setup of all new systems required Internally and Externally for the company's activities.
- Planning and designing Network.
- Firewall administration and overall responsibility for company IT security.
- Administration of email servers
- Forecasting any needed improvements, budgeting for and implementing any changes
- Administration of FTPS servers
- Administration of DNS servers, and providing redundancy
- Administration and maintenance of Web servers.
- Administration of Mysql and Postgres Database Servers.
- Provide telephone and desktop support to internal users.

WORK EXPERIENCE
|
- Experience of 3 to 6 years in System Administration and Network Security.
- RHCE Certification/RHCT/CCSP (Cisco Certified Security Processional)/Cisco Information Security Specialist)/Cisco IPS (Intrusion Prevention Systems) specialist

TECHNICAL SKILLS
|
Network O/S : RHEL/CentOS/Ubuntu
Network Services: Webserver (Apache/tomcat), DNS, Mail, FTP
Fail over/Redundancy: RAID, Clustering, Heartbeat, LVS
Virtualization: Xen, Vmware
Security: IPtables, TCP wrappers, SElinux, Hardware based firewalls
